Parallel to the reconstruction of Bellevueplatz, the tram stops at Bellevue were also altered to enable access by handicapped persons. This required substantial modifications to the track geometry. The bicycle paths were adapted and extended at the same time, together with the paving of Sechseläutenplatz. The tram tracks on Bellevueplatz and the Quay Bridge were replaced on behalf of the Zurich Public Transport Authority.
Water on the tracks and roads is now largely drained directly into the Limmat River via a clean water pipe. In this way, the drainage was adapted to applicable regulations.
The entire Quay Bridge was completely renovated.
In the process, the ceiling of a hollow block in the overbank section was also torn down and replaced with a reinforced concrete ceiling.
