Concrete rehabilitation, ultra-high-performance fibre composite building materials (UHPC) and hydrodynamics

Sustainable rehabilitation and long-term preservation.

Professional concrete rehabilitation and preservation of value

We offer solutions to secure concrete structures in the long term. Using state-of-the-art processes and innovative materials, we repair damage such as cracks and corrosion, improve load-bearing capacity and extend service life. Ultra-high-performance fibre composite building materials (UHPC) and hydrodynamics make for efficient and sustainable results.

Comprehensive concrete rehabilitation

WALO – your expert for partial and total rehabilitation of concrete structures.

With decades of experience and state-of-the-art technologies, WALO protects the structure of buildings and preserves its value.

Why WALO?

  • Our experience and specialised teams:
Our trained teams develop tailored solutions to suit every project requirement.
  • State-of-the-art technologies:
Precise demolition work that minimises waste of materials, e.g. using the ultra-high-pressure water method, ensures the best possible preparation for the rehabilitation process.
  • Innovative combinations of building materials:
Combining new materials with tried-and-tested ones ensures durable and hard-wearing results.
  • Road and railway bridge rehabilitation:
From small to large projects, WALO offers complete solutions with guaranteed quality.

Hydrodynamics in construction

Hydrodynamics – precise with minimal waste.

WALO has been successfully using hydrodynamics to process and rehabilitate concrete structures for over 20 years. This vibrationless technology means work can be carried out in a precise, efficient and low-waste way.

Our hydrodynamics solutions:

  • Component cleaning and concrete substrate preparation
  • Low-waste removal of damaged concrete surfaces and careful dismantling
  • Customisation and finishing of concrete surface structures according to customer requirements

Advantages of hydrodynamics:

  • No vibrations or structure-borne noise – ideal for sensitive buildings
  • Exposes reinforcements without doing damage

Areas of use:

  • Bridges, tunnels, underpasses and overpasses
  • Sewage treatment plants, multi-storey car parks, underground car parks
  • Industrial plants and waste incineration plants

Ultra-high-performance fibre-reinforced concrete composite (UHPC)

UHPC – high-performance and resource-saving.

With compressive strengths of over 150 N/mm², UHPC enables the production of lightweight, slim and sustainable components – ideal for projects with high loads. Since 2014, WALO has been using a specially developed UHPC paver, which it has successfully used to reinforce bridge surfaces in excess of 50,000 m². UHPC serves as both a seal and as a static reinforcement.

Our expertise in terms of UHPC:

  • In-house development and expertise:
WALO combines a specially adapted mixing plant with the experience of highly qualified employees to implement projects efficiently and precisely.
  • High-quality and fast project realisation:
Thanks to its extensive expertise, WALO realises UHPC projects at home and abroad both faster and to the highest quality standards. The innovative material ensures maximum durability and longevity.
