AVA - Barrier-free access to the Hofacker and Hammergut stops

Barrier-free access on the Rudolfstetten-Zufikon line. Our main task in this project was to make two stops barrier-free in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act (BehiG). In addition, access and information systems were to be modernised.

Project description

All platform edges were raised and partially moved to provide barrier-free access. In the area of the existing passenger subway, the tracks were raised in order to create a ballast thickness that conformed to the regulations, which required the renewal of the entire track system, including the points around the stops. In addition, various maintenance work was planned on the carriageway over the Mutschellen, including tamping work in various sections of the line between the Hofacker and Hammergut stops. Coordinating all the work during the four-week total closure posed a particular challenge.
